Dr. Germain McConnell currently serves as Associate Minister for Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. Beyond serving in individual congregations, Dr. McConnell has served in different capacities with the Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Association, where is currently the Vice President of the Congress of Christian Education. Professionally, Dr. McConnell is an educator of over 25 years and believes that his work in education has been part of his ministry and service to God. He currently serves as Chief of Staff & Assistant Superintendent for the Oxford School District, where he oversees the areas of Human Resources, Communications, School Safety, Athletics, Health & Wellness, and Leadership Development. Prior to joining the Oxford School District in January of 2022, Dr. McConnell served as Superintendent for the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science (MSMS) Dr. McConnell is the proud husband of Dana McConnell and father of Kaitlyn McConnell. He enjoys reading the Bible, playing tennis, serving others, and speaking to various audiences.
